Shani Schecter, a recent intern with the CMF, spent the summer searching for answers to these questions. Rather than ask several hundred microfinance clients a series of questions from a structured questionnaire, Shani spent two month shadowing six microfinance clients, watching as they managed their businesses and listening to their stories.
